Shibari is the art of ornate Japanese rope bondage – beautiful, sensual, and creative! We will discuss safety, consent, and teach 3 basic bondage restraints you can use on yourself or a partner in the bedroom or out in the playa!
Please provide an example of what will be performed at your event.:
We will teach a chest harness, a double column wrist tie, and a single column ankle tie.

Please list any items or needs required in order to facilitate your event, and who will be responsible for these items.:
The only required material is 30 feet of polypropylene rope per person getting tied. We own enough rope for ten people to get tied. Usually people tie in pairs, so we could host 20 people. Each rope costs about $20, so we’d be willing to buy 5 to 10 more ropes to host more people.

We’d prefer to lead these sessions sometime in the late morning or afternoon (between 11am and 4pm). We’re absolutely flexible on timing if need be!

One session/class takes about three hours. We’d like to teach 2 classes. We are flexible on the number of classes we teach, and we can adjust the amount of time for a class if needed.

We could promote our class throughout the Burn by setting up shibari suspension with blacklight ropes in front of the camp. (Ian would suspend Colleen using his own blacklights, suspension materials, and blacklight ropes.)
